Traveling Tips During The Pandemic

This year came with an epidemic occurrence worldwide and in result the entire world was shut down and travelling became very difficult. However now as the flights are reopening many people are rescheduling travel that was put off, but as the danger still looms it is not safe to travel without taking the useful measures. Let's have a look at some of the tips of traveling during the pandemic.

Educate yourself

Know that whenever you travel, even without the threat of Covid 19, you still run the risk of encountering new infections. So it is always better to be safe than sorry. Thus try to educate yourself in terms of symptoms of different infections and pack first aid, steroids and antibiotics with you. Gather all the information about the place that you are traveling to like what is the climate of that place, what kind of diseases are common there etc. This would ensure your safety for any possible circumstance.

Things to consider

Transportation: Be careful about what mode of transportation you are using. Public transports are highly risky as they are usually compact and swarmed with people. Also airports are a hot zone for infectious diseases as people from different parts of the world are moving through a central location.

Where will you be staying?: It is very likely to get infected in a busy hotel, it is recommended that the woods are more safe than hotels these days. Thus, try to find such hotels where all the SOPS are being followed and the one which are very less busy like the Zifan hotel in Karachi

Being mindful of your activities: It would be safer if you don't mingle with people that you are not traveling with. However, if the meeting is really unavoidable then at least try to maintain a 6 feet distance.

What should be your strategy?

If traveling is absolutely inescapable for you during this pandemic, then know that all the viruses are usually respiratory diseases especially Coronavirus. So, follow this guideline and make these safety measures obligatory for you and for the people you are travelling with.

Wash your hands appropriately: It is recommended to wash your hands with soap and water or 20 seconds particularly after visiting a public place.

Avoid touching your face: Try not touch your face too often especially if you are out and about because then the virus that might have attached to your hand, gets into your nose or mouth.

Wear a mask: Know that a mask is a mandatory accessory for you. Do not forget to wear it.

Maintain safe distance: This seems kind of hard especially if you are traveling in an airplane or if you are visiting your family. But know that you just have to take care of yourself and you are also responsible for the well being of the people around you. Thus, try and maintain the safe distance which is at least 6 feet.

Conclusion

This is the first time in history that we are faced with a pandemic globally. There is hardly any country which did not have at least 50 cases. This is a very different situation but there are ways to travel safely. The key is to take the disease seriously and take all the precautionary measures to stay happy and healthy.
